Visa Progression

Purpose:
For students upgrading their level of study at UTM (e.g., Foundation to Bachelor, Bachelor to Master, etc.).

Documents Required:

  1. Copy of passport (all pages) – 1 copy, 2 pages per A4 sheet
  2. Two (2) passport-sized photos (35mm x 45mm, white background)
  3. Copy of UTM Offer Letter
  4. Academic transcript from previous university
  5. Academic certificate or Senate Letter
  6. Health Declaration from UTM Health Centre & EMGS Health Form
  7. Release and Attendance Letter from previous institution (or Completion Letter if from UTM)
  8. NOC for Sudanese (cost RM100) – email to isckl@utm.my
  9. Letter of Eligibility (LOE) for Iranian – email to isckl@utm.my
  10. Copy of EMGS payment slip – email to isckl@utm.my

Important Rules:

  • Passport must be valid for over 1.5 years, have 7 empty pages, and be undamaged.

  • Full payment must be made within 2 days. All costs are paid by the student.

  • Do not buy flight tickets – the process takes at least 2 months.

  • If a dependent’s pass expires, they may need to leave Malaysia.
