Visa Variation

Purpose:
For students switching to a new program at the same study level (e.g., Bachelor to Bachelor, Master to Master, PhD to PhD) without completing their previous program.

Documents Required:

  1. Copy of passport (all pages) – 1 copy, 2 pages per A4 sheet
  2. Two (2) passport-sized photos (35mm x 45mm, white background, dark attire)
  3. UTM Medical Check-up record and slip
  4. Offer Letter for new program, certified by faculty
  5. Release Letter from previous university
  6. Academic Transcript from previous university
  7. Bachelor/Master Certificate from previous university
  8. Attendance Letter from previous university
  9. NOC for Sudanese (cost RM100 cash)
  10. Two (2) Letters of Eligibility (LOE) for Iranian students
  11. Proof of Payment to UTM Financial Office (includes RM41.80 Stamp Duty)
  12. Copy of EMGS payment slip – email to isckl@utm.my

Important Rules:

  • You must cancel/shorten your current student pass from the previous institution and apply for a Special Pass.

  • Passport must be valid for over 1.5 years.

  • All costs are paid by the student.

  • Do not bring dependents for this application.

  • Do not buy flight tickets – the process takes at least 2 months.
